Anime RNG Defense Unit Stats Explained

Comprehensive anime rng defense unit stats explained — learn strategies, tips, and detailed breakdowns for Anime RNG Defense on Roblox.

Understanding Unit Stats in Anime RNG Defense

In the Roblox hit Anime RNG Defense by Anime Defense Studios, success relies on more than just rolling the rarest characters from your favorite anime like Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, or One Piece. To conquer the toughest stages across the Leaf Village, Namek, and Hueco Mundo, you must master your unit stats.

Unlike traditional tower defense games where a unit has fixed base attributes, this game introduces a dynamic layer of RNG to your towers. Every time you roll a unit, it is assigned random stat grades ranging from F to S grade. These grades directly dictate your tower's damage, range, attack speed (cooldown), and health.

Understanding how unit stats work, how to read stat grades, and how to optimize them using the game's crafting and scroll systems is the difference between getting stuck on Leaf Village Stage 5 and dominating Hueco Mundo. If you are just starting out, check out our Anime RNG Defense Beginner Guide to get your bearings before diving deep into min-maxing your towers.

How Stat Grades Work: From F to S Grade

Every unit you roll has five core unit stats: Damage (DMG), Range, Cooldown (CD), Health (HP), and Spawns (if applicable). When a unit is generated, the game rolls a letter grade for each of these stats.

The grading scale runs from F to S grade, with F being the weakest possible multiplier and S being the absolute peak of power.

Stat GradeMultiplier RangePerformance Impact
S Grade1.8x – 2.0xMaximum potential, essential for late-game worlds
A Grade1.5x – 1.79xExcellent, highly viable for boss waves
B Grade1.2x – 1.49xAbove average, great for mid-game progression
C Grade1.0x – 1.19xBaseline/Average stats
D Grade0.8x – 0.99xBelow average, holds back rare units
F Grade0.5x – 0.79xSevere handicap, requires immediate rerolling

Why Low Grades Ruin Divine Units

It is a common pitfall for players to assume a Divine rarity unit is automatically overpowered. If you manage to pull a 1-in-a-million Divine unit but it rolls with F to S grade distributions heavily skewed toward F, its actual performance might be worse than an Epic or Legendary unit with straight S grades.

To maximize your damage output, you must ensure your top-tier units have at least A or S grade stats in Damage and Range. For a complete breakdown on securing high-rarity units to apply these stats to, read our guide on Anime RNG Defense How to Get Divine Units.

Rerolling Unit Stats: Scrolls and Perfect Scrolls

If your favorite unit rolled terrible unit stats, you do not have to discard them and roll a new one from scratch. Anime RNG Defense features a robust crafting and rerolling system using Scrolls and Perfect Scrolls.

[Base Unit with F-Grade Stats]
       │
├─► Use Normal Scroll ───► Randomly rerolls all stats (Can downgrade!)
       │
└─► Use Perfect Scroll ──► Rerolls stats with GUARANTEED improvement

Normal Scrolls vs. Perfect Scrolls

  • Scrolls: Rerolls all stat grades on a unit randomly. There is a risk that your stats could get worse (e.g., an A grade dropping to a D grade).
  • Perfect Scrolls: Rerolls your unit's stats while guaranteeing that the new grades will be equal to or higher than your current grades. This is the safest way to hunt for S grades.

Crafting Reroll Materials

You can craft these scrolls at the lobby's crafting station using materials dropped by defeating enemies in various worlds. Here is the crafting recipe breakdown:

Crafted ItemMaterial 1Material 2Material 3Gold Cost
Scroll10x Headbands (Leaf Village)5x Boxes (Any World)2x Dragon Scales (Namek)500 Yen
Perfect Scroll5x Scrolls10x Hollow Fragments (Hueco Mundo)5x Dragon Scales2,500 Yen

Note: Headbands have a 50% drop rate from enemies in the Leaf Village stages. For tips on clearing these stages quickly to farm materials, read our guide on Anime RNG Defense How to Level Up Towers.

Unit Traits: The Ultimate Stat Modifiers

While stat grades determine the baseline potential of your towers, Traits act as massive percentage multipliers that can completely break a unit's power ceiling. When you roll a unit, it has a random chance to spawn with a Trait.

The absolute best trait in the game is Superior, which provides astronomical boosts to your unit stats.

Trait NameStat Boosts / EffectsRarity / Roll Chance
Superior+200% DMG, +300% HP, +30% Range, -15% Cooldown, +1 Spawn CapMythic (‹0.1%)
ClonerAllows you to place +1 duplicate of this unit on the fieldRare (1.5%)
Sharp+15% Critical Hit Chance, +25% Critical DamageRare (3.0%)
Power+25% Base DamageCommon (10.0%)
Swift-10% Attack Cooldown (Faster Attacks)Common (10.0%)
Tough+50% Unit HPCommon (12.0%)
VitalityRegenerates 2% HP per secondCommon (15.0%)

Entrepreneur+10% Yen generated per wave (Excellent for Spawners/Money towers)Uncommon (5.0%)
RebirthRevives once per round with 50% HP if defeatedRare (2.5%)

If you manage to roll a Divine unit with the Superior trait and S-grade Damage, you have obtained an ultimate unit capable of soloing the hardest stages in Hueco Mundo. Maximizing Your Rolls: Luck Upgrades and Buffs

Because getting the best units and unit stats is entirely dependent on the RNG/gacha system, you need to stack as many Luck buffs as possible. The higher your Luck stat, the better your pull rates for Divine units, and the higher the baseline chance of rolling superior stat grades from F to S grade.

Here is how you can stack Luck modifiers to optimize your rolling sessions:

  1. Group Bonus: Join the Official Anime Defense Studios Roblox Group for a permanent +0.5 Luck boost.
  2. Premium Gamepass: Purchasing the Premium gamepass grants a permanent +0.25 Luck boost.
  3. Luck Potions: Craft Luck Potions at the crafting station using materials found in Leaf Village and Namek. These grant temporary +1.0 Luck boosts.
  4. Medals: Equip Medals earned from achievements and high-tier stage completions to gain passive Luck and Damage multipliers.
  5. Active Promo Codes: Redeem active codes like UPDATE, 50KLIKES, TEAMSUPD, THANKSFORPLAYING, and THERETURN to receive free Luck Potions, Gems, and Scrolls.

Progression, Prestige, and Late-Game Scaling

Anime RNG Defense features 3 distinct anime worlds: Leaf Village, Namek, and Hueco Mundo. Each world consists of 10 stages, with each stage throwing 5 waves of increasingly difficult enemies at your defense.

The Prestige System

Once you clear all available stages, you can utilize the Prestige system.

  • What you lose: Your stage progression resets back to Leaf Village Stage 1, and your Yen balance is wiped.
  • What you keep: You retain all of your rolled units, traits, medals, and your permanent Luck stats.
  • What you unlock: You receive permanent Luck multipliers, exclusive titles, and access to higher-tier worlds like Hueco Mundo where Hollow Fragments drop.

As you progress through Prestige levels, enemy HP scales drastically. This makes S-grade stats on your primary damage dealers mandatory. A unit with a C-grade in Damage simply will not cut it when boss enemies in Prestige Hueco Mundo have millions of hit points. If you are struggling to clear these end-game bosses, make sure to read our strategy guide on Anime RNG Defense How to Beat Boss Waves.

To ensure your rolling speed matches your progression, don't forget to upgrade your base luck stats. You can read more about this in our guide on Anime RNG Defense How to Upgrade Luck.

FAQ: Anime RNG Defense Unit Stats

What is the difference between a normal Scroll and a Perfect Scroll?

A normal Scroll completely randomizes all of your unit's stat grades, meaning your stats can actually decrease if you get unlucky. A Perfect Scroll guarantees that the rerolled stats will be equal to or higher than your current grades, making it the safest way to upgrade a unit from F to S grade.

Can I change my unit's Trait?

Traits are locked to the unit upon rolling. Currently, you cannot reroll traits using Scrolls; Scrolls only affect the core unit stats (Damage, Range, Cooldown, HP, Spawns). If you want a unit with a better trait like Superior or Cloner, you must roll a new copy of that unit using the RNG gacha system.

Where do I get the materials to craft Scrolls?

Scroll materials drop directly from enemies as you clear stages. Headbands drop at a 50% rate in Leaf Village, Dragon Scales drop in Namek, and Hollow Fragments drop in Hueco Mundo. Boxes can drop in any of the three worlds.

Does unit level affect my stat grades?

No. Your unit's level (which increases as they gain XP from battles) increases their base numbers, but the stat grades (F to S) act as multipliers on top of those base numbers. A Level 100 unit with an S-grade in Damage will always vastly outperform a Level 100 unit with an F-grade in Damage.
